Drooling over the boys

The one thing that female cricket fans can’t escape is the fact that there just so many hotties on the cricket pitch. It’s sometimes the one thing that makes getting up at 02:00am for a shift worth it. That, of course, and the love for cricket. But when you’re jet-lagged without having been on a jet, there is some respite in drooling over the men in white.

The final Australia v West Indies Test is around the corner and, as much as I want the West Indies to win, there is one Aussie in particular who really strikes my fancy.

The 28-yeard old with the golden locks and the perfect smile was tipped to be the next captain of Australia before he even played one Test for his country.

Pup, has he is affectionately known by his teammates, is known for his wristy shots through the offside and this right-hander would rather take off than take guard.

An occasional spinner, who perfected his batting against the bowling machines at his dad’s indoor centre, Clarke has had a keen interest in the gentleman’s game since he was in nappies.

I heard somewhere that he broke up with that model slag of his. Thank goodness. I don’t really see what they had to talk about. Not that worshipping your partner is how it should be (some might disagree) but surely there should be some common ground? Be gone with you, Lara Bingle.

This boy is a very well-mannered and polite too. He refuses to sign autographs for fans who do not say please or thank you.

I’d love to take him home to mum, even though I’d be crucified for committing treason.

Oh my word! Yes. I was just saying today that I think I am the only one who finds him attractive. I don’t care that he is 17 – the school-boy appeal for me is awesome.
